Made these darling little socks from Knitting Daily's free "Better than booties baby socks" pattern. I had trouble with the short heel so I used the heel and toe from Yankee Knitters sock pattern. I guess I need to learn how to do the short heel, calls for a trip to the local yarn shop for help. Socks are knit on size 0 needles and fingering weight yarn. I used a superwash wool from country Woolens, Lebanon, NH.

I also had trouble with the cable on the foot. I wonder if there was a pattern error. I decided to put in a "life line" in case I needed to rip it out again. If you decide to make them here is what I did for foot: K10, p1, work 2 sts in cable patt as established, p1, K16, p1, work 2 sts in cable patt as established, p1, k10 (that is the 44 foot stitches).
